· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.We are looking to hire a structural engineer with excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Structural engineers are expected to be detail-oriented, creative, and possess amazing problem-solving skills.
JOB DUTIES
- Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
- Check the detailing of the drawings.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings using CAD software.
- Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.
- Communicate with engineers, and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings.
- Prepare and review alongside the engineering team.
- Ensure final designs are compliant with building regulations.
- Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.
- Perform other related duties as required.
SKILL & QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 - 3 years’ experience as a CAD Drafter or similar role.
- Strong knowledge and experience in AutoCAD and/or other design software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and can work with less supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
