Job Description:
The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for researching new vendors, tracking deliveries, and updating order records (e.g. dates, invoices, and discounts.) If you’re familiar with supply chain procedures and know-how to create and translate cost analyses.
This role requires excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to maintain and update paper and computerized purchasing records. While most of this role’s duties tend to be administrative and support purchasing managers, purchasing assistants may also buy supplies and materials directly from vendors in certain cases.
Experience:
➡️ With at least 2 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement
➡️ Strong background and knowledge in construction materials
➡️ Previous exposure to construction-related work
Qualifications:
➡️ BS in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
➡️ Knowledge of supply chain procedures and documentation
➡️ Knowledge in the use of digital tools for purchasing (e.g.Procurify or SpendMap)
➡️ Strong knowledge of standard office software including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
➡️ Knowledge of market research an advantage
