Technician

Your main role are:

• Fire test specimen construction and demolition.
• Assist setting up of fire test specimen and taking observations and measurement during tests.
• Maintenance and proper storage of laboratory tools and equipment, testing and laboratory materials and house-keeping of the fire test laboratory.

Your function consist of:

• Fire test specimen construction and demolition.
• Preparation of specimen cuts according to specifications.
• Assist setting up of test specimen in accordance with relevant standards.
• Conduct fire and material test under supervision of designated supervisory personnel.
• Assist taking observations and measurements during tests.
• Assist in purchasing of testing materials and stock keeping.
• Awareness and implementation of laboratory management system.
• Handling of industrial tools and equipment.
• Maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment.
• Proper storage of testing and laboratory materials.
• Proper housekeeping of work area and laboratory premise surrounding in an orderly manner, including housekeeping, arrangement of waste collection etc.

We are looking for a dynamic teammate with:

• Possess minimum secondary education with a minimum of 2 - 3 years working experience in related fields. 
• Experience test specimen construction and demolition is an advantage.
• Knowledge of laboratory management system is an advantage.
• Excellent capacity to plan and organize his/her job and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated skills at working across wide cultural and social spectrum ranges.
• Good command of English Language. Other language skills in Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
• Able to work under minimal supervision, independently or as a team.
• Possess a positive attitude and good communication skills dealing with all relevant parties.
• This position is based in the testing laboratory located at Meru, Klang.
• Possess own transport.
