Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Responsible for valuation, accounting, reporting, reconciliation and analysis of revenues and expenses related to CARE’s domestic Fund-raising operations and other complex gifts like Split Interest Agreements, Bequests, Promise to Give, Contribution in Kinds etc. to ensure compliance with the organizations's policy and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

 

Prepares and submits reports to comply with statutory requirements as well as other internal financial reports related to Fund raising operations. This position is expected to develop the appropriate financial analytical framework or reports that would highlight issues and provide recommendation to management on how to address issues noted in the analysis.

 

This position provides support to various departments which includes the Fundraising teams (e.g. Relationship Managers, Gift Processing, Reporting, Grants Coordination, etc.), SSC among others.

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accountancy
  • 4-5 years of experience with emphasis on Finance and Accounting.
  • CPA

 

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 4-5 years of combined progressive and proven skills in the department/division within outside the organization.
  • Experience in using PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to partner with, and support others without having a direct reporting relationship.
  • Proven ability to use analytical tools.
  • Must be organized and have demonstrated record of accuracy.
  • Ability to construct financial reports drawn from databases with proper reconciliation aspects to control totals.
  • Ability to work at detailed level.
  • Ability to work on teams.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills (oral and writing skills in English)
  • Excellent service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
