Job Description
The PeopleSoft Change Management Administrator works as part of the System Support team and is responsible for administration of PeopleSoft and related systems. The position has two broad responsibilities: PeopleSoft ERP administration and performance monitoring; and PeopleSoft ERP Configuration and Change Management.
The PeopleSoft Change Management Administrator is required to manage, configure PeopleSoft systems, provide functional and technical support, create new and refresh existing PeopleSoft environments, fine tune performance and troubleshoot system and environment problems. He/She works with peers and internal customers and outsourcing vendors to ensure healthy and peak performance of PeopleSoft applications.
Key Responsibilities
Administration and Monitoring
- Optimize the performance and reliability of the PeopleSoft systems by monitoring their performance and tuning the application parameters as needed.
- Coordinate and schedule system maintenance (bundles, patches, updated, enhancements, fixes, refreshes, backups etc)
- Perform batch monitoring and coordinate issue resolution among different teams.
- Research, document and resolve system errors.
Configuration and Change Management
- Analyze, review and implement proposed changes of PeopleSoft environments.
- Deploy projects to PeopleSoft environments.
- Manage and schedule of requests for change (RFCs)
- Chair the daily and emergency Change Management meetings.
- Create and maintain thorough and complete change control documentation as per the change control policy.
- Continuously evaluate the existing processes and procedures to ensure that Change Management is being carried out in the most efficient and effective manner.
- Develop, document and publish Change Management standards and procedures, ensuring that these documents are updated as and when appropriate.
Other Administration Assignments
- Provide support in resolving tier 2-3 customer support issues.
- Occasional designing, coding and testing using Application Designer, Application Engine, Process Scheduler, PeopleCode, HTML, SQR, PS Query, Crystal Reports and Workflow
- Participate in resolving highly complex problems and implementing systemic changes, including designing new solutions and/or deciding which solutions to adopt.
- Periodically validate, test, and update relevant parts of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) plan. Research new technologies and best practices and present results and recommended changes to CARE's BCDR to IT management and the Business owner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education & experience
- TIL Certification
- 1 year of experience in PeopleSoft administration and change management.
- 3 years of experience in PeopleSoft Administration
- 1 year experience with Peopletools 8.55 and cloud technologies
- Experience planning and executing PeopleSoft upgrades.
- Excellent understanding of the PeopleSoft application architecture including the infrastructure, table structure, design standards and protocols.
