Job Purpose:
Systems Engineer is the escalation point for issue resolution and service requests coming from the technical service desk. They provide remote or onsite technical support/implementation services for client hardware and other related software installations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perfroms pre-coverage inspection for all hardware to be part of support maintenance contract.
- Conducts site survey and inspection prior to machine installation to validate systems and storage environmental requirements.
- Remote or onsite break-fix for any hardware/software issue covered by either warranty, support contract or time-and-material engagements.
- Perform escalation to Senior Systems Engineer for issues which cannot be resolved within the level.
- Facilitate delivery of hardware and peripherals. Conducts inventory of machnes based on delivery receipt.
- Performs installation service of machines, storage, and tape library devices that the company needs to deliver to customer based on bom.
- Conducts user acceptance tests on the functionalities set based on hardware specifications and features offered.
- Provides user handover and training on basic hardware and software administration/operation.
- Preventive Maintenance fro machines under warranty or service contract with customer.
- System and application monitoring to generate performance statistics.
- Adhere to IT industry standards as adopted by the company regarding any job related practice.
- Comply with all company policy, work ethics and practice sound judgement and decision making in dealing with customer on any technical support/implementatioin activity.
- Creates technical project documentationsto record installation configurations, cover basic systems/software administrattion.
Skills / Qualifictaions:
Systems Engineer from level 4 to 6 are required to have 3 to 5 years of experience in the following:
- Knowledgeable in software such as MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Open Office, Pages
- Good analytical thinking

- IT-related background
- Excellent communication and client interface skills (verbal and written).
- Good organizational skills

College degree or equivalent in the following:
