Description:

Responsible for full spectrum of purchasing activities including sourcing for materials, equipment, machinery parts, and services for facilities accordance to company’s requirements or specifications given.
Negotiation with suppliers to obtain best quotes and prices according to company’s requirements or specification required.
To initiate cost reduction activities through negotiation with existing suppliers and source for new suppliers for cost saving and continuous improvement.
To address and resolve situation such as supply chain shortages, quality issues, material discrepancies and to ensure contingency plan or alternate sources of supply is available.
To forecast, plan, execute, monitor deliveries and control the purchasing activities according to the company policy and procedure.
Performing monthly inventory stock count and coordinate with Stores on stock replenishment as necessary.
Coordinating with suppliers and following up on outstanding orders that have been rescheduled.
Prepare monthly, yearly and ad-hoc report when required. Maintain accurate supplier price book and item data in system.
To perform supplier site visit and audit as well as audit report to ensure approved suppliers and new suppliers meet the requirements.
Evaluate suppliers’ performance periodically to ensure the goods/service provided are accordance to requirements or specifications.
