Shipping & Logistics Executive

Responsibilities:

· Overall responsible for a wide variety of shipping & logistic activities.

· Manage Import & Export shipments preparations, arrangement and documentations according to the requirements, internationally and within Malaysia.

· Take care of importation of equipment and installation materials.

· Coordinate with the appointed forwarding agent and transport company for custom clearance and transport the goods to site for installation.

· Ensure smooth collaboration between Planning and Shipping team in order to meet expected time of delivery and overall Shipping Master Plan.

· Ensure all related documentation, such as Shipping Listing, BL, Consignment Notes, Certificate of Origin, Custom codes etc and Haulages / Vessel bookings are made as per expectation of the customers’ delivery date.

· Implement cost reduction measures in all aspects of logistic transaction and monitor shipping cost.

· Monitor the performance of logistics, haulers and third-party providers' lead-time commitments and cost targets

· In-charge of Customs duties exemption application / renewal. Applicant with knowledge on SINGLE TARIFF CODE tax exemption will be an added advantage.

· Ensure all shipments adhere to the terms and conditions of sales and/or the terms of the Letter of Credit.

· Liaise closely with shipping companies in negotiating competitive freight rates and space bookings.

· Handle customs matters & SST reporting.

· Perform any other ad-hoc tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements: -

· Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Logistic/Transport or equivalent.

· At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field. 

· Preferably Executives specializing in Manufacturing/Production Operations and candidate with relevant experience on MIDA/Customs application renewal is required.

· Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.

· Efficiency in analytical skills.

· Good time management skills and cost conscious.

· Applicant must be willing to work in Banting.

· Those who can start immediately would be an added advantage.
