JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the Group’s book of accounts/ ledger. Working under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Supervisor directs and coordinates the daily activities of the department to quickly and accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets and liabilities of the Group.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reviews book of accounts to ensure appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
2. Prepares the financial statements of assigned companies.
3. Ensure compliance to BIR, SEC and other regulatory requirements.
4. Implements and monitors the application of existing taxes and rulings in the company’s transactions and reporting.
5. Responsible for the safekeeping of financial records.
6. Hiring, training and supervision of accounting team members.
7. Take ownership of the audit process, with both internal and external auditors as well as BIR examinations.
8. Other related assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
General Specification
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration Major in Accountancy or any related business course
Certified Public Accountant
Specialized Skills : With knowledge in Real Estate, Insurance, Importation, General Accounting, Taxation and FS Preparation
Experience : Must have at least 5 years of experience in the same field
Competency Specification
Knowledge : Taxation, FS Preparation, Philippine Accounting Standard, International Accounting Standard, Auditing and Government Reports
Soft Skills : Keen to details and with high analytical abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to supervise and work well with a team Interpersonal skills, Trustworthy, Reliable, and Resourceful
Technical Skills : Can design systems to prevent and detect fraud with working knowledge in ERP, Multi-tasking ability
