GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Responsibilities:

· Create illustrations for technical documents or user manuals that are specifically meant to communicate or reiterate the accurate information within the document

· Work in conjunction with other designers and technical writers to create a variety of technical illustrations

· Takes information from text or data and creates illustrations that communicate this information concisely and accurately.

· Work with non-technical audiences, so while their imagery needs to be professional, it also needs to reach a variety of audiences and must be easy to understand and follow

· Work with a variety of different software applications including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and AutoCAD, in order to create specific illustrations

· Need to be able to bring technical writing to life in a visual way that is easier to understand and follow

· Has a background or experience in engineering, product development or other technical illustration fields

· Create technical illustrations for user manuals, either up from scratch or amendments of existing illustrations that communicate this information concisely and accurately

· Create technical drawings for a user manual of assembly or electronic products. Illustrations need to be easy to understand and work as a complement to the writing.

· Work closely with technical writers and coordination team to develop technical drawings and illustrations according to strict guidelines, and/or packaging designs

· Review product illustrations based on actual product(s) (using samples, videos and/or photos)

· Create artwork documents based on internal and client quality requirements

· Communicate with Writers and Co-ordination Team on artwork matters

· Coordinate, handle and follow-up of multiple projects, including, but not limited to, documenting project status and communicating with relevant parties

· Assist in / handle creating, maintaining and reviewing internal team / company guidelines

· Assist in / handle creating checklists and training documents

· Assist in / create solutions to increase efficiency (find / report issues, suggest workflow improvements)

· Support Quality Control Team with quality control activities as needed

· Touch-up product drawings based on actual product(s)

· Edit and review artwork files within the team for correctness and consistency

· Adhere to strict lead times

· Handle general everyday tasks and internal project emails

· Handle other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements:

· 3+ years of relevant working experience in the instructional illustration field

• Higher Diploma or above in Illustration Design or related disciplines

· Proficient knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign

· Good command of Cantonese and English

• Visual thinking, initiative, organized and can manage a diversity of projects with a tight schedule

· Great knowledge about turning photos into clear visualized technical illustrations or upgrade existing technical illustrations

· Ability to explain “how do things work” in a clear and simple way

· Detail-minded and proactive in doing research

· Logical thinking and analytical mind are a must

· Highly organized with good coordination skills

• Self-motivated, responsible and a good team player
• Willing to learn and cope with fast pace working culture

* Senior Graphics Designer will be considered depending on years of experience.
