SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Controls and coordinates the maintenance of various accounting systems and records
- Ensures compliance with taxation, statutory and corporate accounting, reporting and filing requirements
o Secure company licenses, permits and accomplishes forms and submittal requirements of government agencies (BIR, SSS, PHIC, Pag-ibig, Local Municipality, SEC, etc.) on a timely basis
- Monitors all transactions encoded in the accounting system
o Checks the accuracy and completeness of all journal vouchers (JVs), check vouchers and checks issued before posting in the accounting system
- Responsible in the timely and accurate closing of ledgers on a monthly basis
o Supports the staff in managing cash effectively
o Oversee the reconciliation and timely collection of Accounts Receivable and Disbursement
o Ensures that all accounting reports are printed and filed properly
- Approves all petty cash disbursements and performs periodic surprise cash count
- Checks and ensures that all monthly accounting schedules and ledgers are prepared timely
- Determines and ensures proper allocation of costs and expenses
- Performs monthly reconciliation of cash balances of all bank accounts maintained by the company
- Develops and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures
- Maintains internal control and accounting systems and continuously recommends solutions or improvements in related accounting procedures
- Prepare special reports and analysis for reporting to Local management
- Assist local management in the preparation of forecasts and budgets
- Prepares financial planning and business analysis
- Deals with what-if analysis or sensitivities with regards to certain business decisions
- Performs payroll functions –
o Preparation of payroll every payday
o Provide information for the payment of withholding tax on compensation and all government contributions and loans (Pag-ibig, PHIC and SSS)
Requirements/Education/Experience:
- Graduate of Accountancy or any course related to Finance
- At least 2-4 years of Accounting experience
- Knowledge in Xero Finance App or SAP is an advantage
- Exposure to tax and audit is an advantage but not required
