Financial Controller

Job Description

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for management of all aspects of financial/ accounting functions inclusive of financial planning, formulation of budgets, budgetary controls, treasury management, financing and tax planning for the company etc.
• Review and advise on the potential business risks that may arise from statutory requirements, investment, forex risk, tax, legal matters & etc.;
• To ensure that all financial and accounting reports are in compliance with the approved accounting standards in Malaysia applicable to the Company and the Group.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including audit, tax matters and any other corporate governance.
• Oversee cash flow projections of the Company to control payment and collection schedule for individual property development project; to achieve efficiency in cash management system.
• To manage and review audited accounts and to ensure all audit findings points are promptly resolved.
• Leading the periodical review on property development budget with project teams to evaluate the reasonableness of financial results.
• Perform ad-hoc projects, analysis and forecasting related to accounts activity.
• Reporting Direct to Board of Directors and any other tasks assigned by the Management

 Requirements:

• Possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, MACPA, CPA.
• Minimum 10 years' working experience of Financial Controller/CFO in the related fields with a property developer or equivalent industry.
• Able to work independently and lead a Finance team.
• Possess good knowledge of operational processes and accounting principles and standards.
• Possess a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, proactiveness, result-oriented with good interpersonal skills
