Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk, and develop remediation strategies.
• Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems, and networks.
• Classify technology issues and provide additional recommendations to management with solutions to fix internal controls or on on identified security and control risks.
• Set audit objectives, gather data by interviewing department employees or comparing current procedures to IT department standards and creating actionable plans to improve IT systems.
• Continuously inspect and assess the various elements of their company’s information system to develop and implement audit test plans.
• Handle any other duties, consistent with the role, or duties as required from time to time by the Executive or Management Team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information technology/Computer Information Systems or in any related field.
• Minimum 5 years of strong experience in a related role with extensive experience in Financial or Banking Services
• Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders Relevant IT Audit Certification
• Strong experience in Financial and IT applications
• Strong experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), and other relevant application controls
• Expert in Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, and Security Audits.
• Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques
• Strong project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Product Suite.
