Faculty Assistant -College of Medical Laboratory Science

• Successful completion of the B.S. Medical Technology or Public Health degree which is appropriate to assignment as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant.
• Must have satisfactorily passed the National Licensure Examination for Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Preference will be given to those with excellent scholastic record during College and have previous work experience as a laboratory or teaching assistant.
• Enrollment in Master’s Degree Program in Medical Technology or Public Health is encouraged but not required but will be beneficial for evaluation of credential for possible re-appointment and promotion to Faculty Member or Clinical Instructor position.

Position Summary: The Laboratory Faculty Assistant (LTA) has a wide range of responsibilities depending on their assignment. His duties range from grading papers, exams and laboratory reports; organizing and instructing laboratory sessions and/or tutorials, holding office hours, generating course outlines and other duties pertaining to the instructional mission of the Department.
