NATURE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales and Distribution: Assure maximum distribution and sales based on set objectives. He follows a call cycle that is determined in accordance with the territory concerned. He also ensures achievement of his area sales target.
  • Trade Development: Maximizes development of trade in his territory by a continuous and intensive effort to expand reach and distribution resulting to better profits and sales and thus resulting to business growth.
  • Merchandising: He should see to it that company products are adequately and prominently displayed in the different outlets.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Prepares timely and accurate reports on his daily sales activities, trade development and competitive activities. He likewise maintains an up-to-date and accurate file of all important sales documents and reports.
  • Accountabilities: Ensure at all times that cash, stocks, accountable forms and other company properties, including the company vehicle, are fully accounted for upon demand by authorized company representatives.
  • Market Intelligence: He, being in the forefront of the market place, provides the principal with relevant information as to competition, trade performance and recommendations that may eventually assist them in preparing the appropriate marketing strategies and future action plans.
  • Product Knowledge: He should be able to easily and accurately provide product knowledge on all product lines he sells to meet customer information needs and queries.
  • Teamwork: Efficiently and effectively work with the members of the sales team. This allows for the extensive coverage outlets within an area, selling the maximum range of products with minimal overages and shortages. It also involves providing assistance in all promotional activities that may be implemented in his area.
  • Collection of Payments: Collects from the store owners the necessary cash payments upon delivery of load. However, in cases where the store has been given credit term, he should collect the post-dated check based on the approved terms and conditions.
  • Customer Service: In cases where there is a complaint from the store owner or his/her customers, it is his duty to handle this properly by making proper documentation and referral to the Field Sales Supervisor.
  • Trade Outlet Development: Develops outlets for pre-selling if there are outlets being covered by him that have shown potential growth in volume purchase.
