Job Functions:
· Drafts quality product and process standards/checklists, subject to review and approval. And monitors observance of correct procedures, including tool usage, quality inspections, manpower training & qualification, safety measures, etc.
· Reviews, revises and cascades quality and/or safety check sheets and other documentation, in aid of process control and improvement
· Collaborates with HR in conducting safety and quality training for all new hires or current employees.
· Makes recommendations for improvements in the production process, to promote improved efficiency, quality consistency and/or manpower safety.
· Submit reports on the reject ratio, audit findings, and over-all quality performance of the organization, including but not limited to, the reject ratio reports, consolidated monitoring report.
· Manages a team of QC inspectors who generate regular reports on quality versus reject rates from each department and non-compliance.
· Designs a program for the Continuous Training of QC Inspectors and Environmental Management System (EMS) program
· Facilitates regular third-party or in-house testing of sample materials and finished goods, such as but not limited to: QUADSYS: Pallet Testing, Wood Specie Validation
· Spearheads and facilitates Qualification of New Materials / Suppliers and Labor to issue Permit to Operate
· Acts as a 6S Auditor, Kaizen Champion, Safety Officer, Safety & Health Committee and AIIR Ad-hoc Committee convenor and secretariat
· Performs other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications:
· Must possess a College Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
· With at least 5 years of working experience in Quality & Safety Assurance, preferably from manufacturing or construction companies
· With at least 3 years of experience in a leadership position.
· Certificate of Safety Training (BOSH or COSH) will be required.
· Respectable can command compliance and respect from his subordinates
· Fast learner, self-motivated and results-oriented, can work under pressure
· Honest and with integrity, no derogatory record from former employers
· Good leadership – ability to command compliance and respect from various teams
· Strict – can handle enforcement of policies with various teams and difficult people
· Highly compliant, strict with policies and able to enforce company policies consistently
· With expertise in job hazard analysis, setting safety standards & production policies and procedures
· Highly analytical and can strong ability to create root-cause analysis
· With experience in Technical Writing - Quality Standards Documentation, and relevant manuals/training modules
· With Knowledge of Time-and-Motion Analysis, Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
· Willing to be deployed on the field, as deemed necessary, for audit purposes
· With valid driver's license (minimum non-professional).
