Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), monthly, and yearly closing processes, managing full sets of accounts.
  • Prepare journals and perform data entry tasks.
  • Ensure timely closure of month-end and year-end accounts.
  • Develop and maintain accounts schedules.
  • Prepare and submit withholding tax and GST returns quarterly.
  • Assist in variance analysis, budgeting, management reporting, and inventory management.
  • Prepare financial statements for statutory and tax reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and banks.
  • Generate monthly financial reports.
  • Compile quarterly consolidation reports via portal.
  • Renew major export schemes.
  • Monitor monthly and yearly budgets.
  • Provide guidance and review work performed by two accounts assistants.
  • Undertake other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent; ACCA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing company, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
  • Previous experience with AS400 accounting system is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of reporting accounting issues and recommending improvements to management.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
