Trading Analyst
Trading analysts study Forex, Commodities, and Index market activity, execute trades, and monitor and analyze trade activity on behalf of clients. They perform trade-related data analysis in order to help advise clients on trading strategy. This often involves the use of internal/proprietary portfolio management programs and tools. They typically work under the supervision or guidance of account managers, sales executives, or other financial specialists.
Job Description
> Serving as a liaison with senior business managers to stay current with business developments and trends.
> Elicit, analyze and document business requirements, business rules and data sources, and work with development teams throughout system implementation and delivery.
> As key member of the project team, you will work with the project manager, development manager, developers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
> Develop knowledge and become subject matter expert resource, supporting development of application roadmap.
> Prepare risk assessment framework documents maintain the borrow rating) database to ensure that all amendments to ratings are record on an expedited manner.
> Initiate and maintain contact with trading professionals, Group Risk management, Global > Trading Documentation and Credit Transaction Management.
> Assist in the preparation and reporting of portfolio statistics and other management information reports in a timely and accurate manner.
> Completion of assigned projects and other duties efficiently and effectively in order to support the team meet planned and unplanned demands.
> Demonstrate and apply understanding and knowledge of markets, products, processes, regulations and systems required to deliver on business objectives.
Job Requirements:
> To be part of the Index trading team and participate in managing the Index mono and multi-underlying books.
> To price, hedge and risk manage trades.
> Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Engineering, Mathmetics preferred but will consider relavant experience in lieu of a degree.
> Experience building and working with databases.
> Effective written and verbal communication skills to determine business needs and explain results.
> Knowledge of market structure and equity trading would be beneficial.
