JOB SUMMARY
Assists the Operations Manager in the day-to-day operations for EcoMOL Operations, Business Process, and Analytics Teams to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency. Resolves complex escalated issues and drives cross-functional projects to successful completion. Works closely with other internal and external divisions to align operational goals with broader business objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operations
a. Supports the Operations Manager in overseeing multiple teams and acts as second-in-command.
2. Conflict Resolution
a. Handles escalations, helps bridge day-to-day operations with management priorities
b. Shows tactical decisions that support the broader operational goals
c. Supervises the team in developing ways to resolve complex issues
3. People Management
a. Oversees multiple team leaders and supports in coaching, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
4. Performance Monitoring
a. Consolidates performance reports from team leaders
b. Escalates complex issues to the Manager for timely resolution
5. Decision-making
a. Acts on delegated authority and resolves mid-level issues
b. Steps in when the Operations Manager is unavailable
6. Processes and Systems
a. Assists in updating SOPs, ensures compliance, and suggests improvements.
7. Compliance & Risk
a. Monitors adherence across multiple teams and flags risks to the Operations Manager.
8. Customer Client Interaction
a. Resolves mid-level client/customer concerns and escalates critical issues.
9. Stakeholder Collaboration
a. Coordinates between Team Leaders and Operations Manager and collaborates as needed.
10. Change and Innovation
a. Helps implement process changes across teams and provides feedback from the ground
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. Education
a. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering, Marine Transportation, or any related course
2. Experience
a. Minimum of 7 years of related work experience in any related fields in vessel business operations, shipping operations, vessel navigation, and/or machinery.
b. Experience in training/development, process management, and data management is an advantage.
c. 2 years in a leadership or Assistant Manager role overseeing teams
d. Experienced in managing escalations, handling operational incidents, and maintaining a smooth flow of operations
e. Experience in cross-functional project leadership and change management
f. Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and deliver cross-functional projects on time and within scope

a. Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
b. Effective leadership and team management capabilities across various workforce generations (Gen Zs and Millennials)
c. Excellent problem-solving and escalation management skills.
d. Clear communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
e. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
f. Proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of problems and drive them to resolution.

Eligibility for a performance bonus for regular employees who have stayed with the company for a minimum of 1 year. The average is at least 1 month's worth of salary
