JOB SUMMARY

The Project Team Lead oversees the successful execution of internal and external client projects within the organization. The Lead’s role involves managing a team, ensuring adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs), optimizing processes, and maintaining high quality deliverables while meeting deadlines and client expectations.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

3.1. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics

3.2. Create detailed project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures

3.3. Identify required resources, stakeholders, and dependencies

3.4. Lead day-to-day project activities and ensure alignment across teams

3.5. Facilitate collaboration among involved stakeholders

3.6. Track progress and manage changes to scope, schedule, or budget


Client Coordination

3.7. Acts as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project updates

3.8. Addresses client concerns promptly and professionally

3.9. Builds and maintains strong client relationships

3.10. Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and reporting for leadership and stakeholders.

3.11. Manage expectations and escalate issues appropriately.


Data Management & Analysis

3.12. Responsible for the analysis of complex datasets of ships’ and other MOL data to derive actionable insights and help make data-driven decisions. Actively proposes strategies to reduce GHG through data analysis findings by working together with other data specialists.

3.13. Develop frameworks to establish new project initiation as a bottom-up approach. 

3.14. Leads the team using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.

3.15. Utilize various statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive modeling to derive insights from large datasets.


Process Improvement

3.16. Identifies opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency

3.17. Implement best practices and ensure compliance with company policies.

3.18. Continuously enhance the domain knowledge of maritime operations and engineering concepts among junior team members, fostering high-value insights.


Leadership

3.19. Works closely with junior analytics members to derive accurate results and implement strict quality in sharing findings through reports.

3.20. Supervises the junior analytics team members to effectively capture and transform data. 

3.21. Provides mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

3.22. Allocates tasks and manages workloads effectively.


JOB SPECIFICATION

4.1. Education

4.1.1. Bachelor's / College degree in IT, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent degree.


4.2. Experience

4.2.1. 2-3 years supervisory experience 

4.2.2. 3+ years of experience in project management, data analytics, with a strong emphasis on technical analysis.

4.2.3. Experience with big data technologies is an advantage.

4.2.4. Proven track record of leading analytics projects from conception to implementation.

4.2.5. Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid).

4.2.6. Experience in BPO, IT, software, or service delivery is an advantage.


4.3. Skills

4.3.1. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks.

4.3.2. Ability to facilitate ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and demos.

4.3.3. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

4.3.4. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

4.3.5. Intermediate-advanced knowledge of MS Office Package: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

4.3.6. Knowledge in data management, statistical analysis, and BI tools is an advantage

4.3.7. Knowledge of project management tools is an advantage

4.3.8. Ability to adapt to change and manage priorities dynamically.


4.4. Other Skills

4.4.6. Background in the shipping/ maritime industry is an advantage.


Benefits: 

SL/VL, HMO with 2 qualified dependents, 13th month pay, Salary increase, Transportation and communication allowance (fixed amount paid in the payroll)

2x a month, company-paid for lunch

Eligibility for a performance bonus for regular employees who have stayed with the company for a minimum of 1 year. The average is at least 1 month's worth of salary


Work schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 - 17:00
