Description:

A data encoder is responsible for sorting and processing data. They are much more than just data entry clerks. Data encoders enter data, maintain database information and essentially, handle all administrative data tasks. For organisations, these team members help the data management team ensure that all information, including client files and physical documents, are entered into relevant systems or databases correctly to ensure stakeholders have access to accurate data sets.

Data encoder duties and tasks can include:

General data entry tasks
Ensuring data is accurate before entering into relevant databases
Interpreting data on paper and translating it digitally
Data system maintenance and management
Data backups
Proofing and editing data.
